“Cogito, ergo sum” - "I think; therefore I am".
René Descartes
The First Commandment
I am the LORD thy God
“Cogito, ergo sum” - "I think; therefore I am".
The Beauty of the World comes through imagination,
From everything around: from Universe to germs,
Essentially, your World is truly your creation.
Theology and Science dispute who made the Sun,
The firmament of sky, horizons and the ocean…
Does that make happy you, your mother or your son?
The World you’ve made from that - your personal devotion.
Your personal extracts, make all you’re standing for
Your personal construct defines your Domination,
Your personal concept: To whom pray or ignore:
What you see, feel, or do makes your fall or salvation
So G_d is not a man, nor icon painted face.
But spirit of your faith, your father’s dreams, your son’s hopes,
Your shield, your sword, your pride, your nation and your race, -
All ‘t makes you so unique: it makes yourself your own pope.
It’s true you can’t command sunrises, rains or floods,
Your sudden lucks or death – you are just an attendant,
But t’ freedom of your will: “I am the LORD thy God”,
That sets you a free man, and sets you independent.
You can lose body parts, your property, your friends,
Your house and your tree, your son and all achievements,
While t’ guts to be yourself – is the bible of your church,
“Deus meus, credo quod” – My G_d, what I believe in.
