I cannot deny that your freedom’s important.
Or... you can't hang out, nor... roll in the mud.
But even with freedom you cannot be certain
That you will be happy, respected, and loved.

 

I cannot deny that your brain is important.
Or you can’t even think and... you feel very dumb.
But even with brain you can never be certain
That you will be happy, respected, and loved.

 

I cannot deny that your legs are important.
Or -- you cannot run and you can’t even jump.
But even with legs you can never be certain
That you will be happy, respected, and loved.

 

I cannot deny that your diet is important.
Or you'll join the crowd of “chubby big butts”.
But even with dieting you cannot be certain
That you will be happy, respected, and loved.

 

I cannot deny-making money’s important!
How can you buy brushes and easels and stuff?
But even with money you cannot be certain
That you will be happy, respected, and loved.

 

I cannot deny that your job is important:
Or you cannot have money, and all things above.
But even with a job you can never be certain
That you will be happy, respected, and loved.

 

We’re glad you have your diet, and your legs, and your freedom,
And your brain, and the money, ceramics and crafts,
But cherish your loved ones as what really matters
To make you feel happy, respected, and loved.
