Pillow’s Dreams
Very late night, on the pillow,
In the bed when minds are dimmed,
Little ears suddenly appear,
That can hear dreams.
Dreams have many shapes and episodes:
Miracles abound,
Miracles abound,
Dream adventures, dreams of moonlight roads,
Rivers, woods, and sounds.
Dreams of skiing, slippery snow slides, and,
Lawns in sunny beams,
School reports, where all your scores are A+,
What a magic dream!
Dreams flow fast, slow, hide and then appear,
As a creek or sprite,
As a creek or sprite.
While the pillow is perking up her ears,-
Listening all night.
In the daytime, exhausted from her travels,
Craving quiet scenes,
She’s asleep – don’t wake her, never, never,
She has Pillow’s dreams.
