The Fifth Commandment
Honour thy father and thy mother
There’re two beginnings in this life:
Our being’s vital foundation:
From Man -- your strength of mind derives,
From Woman -- love of life and patience.
Earth mother Gaea, father Zeus
Spread life, craft souls and dedication,
But all of these are just a prelude
For human, families and nations.
... Then all’s begun!
It’s not important who says what:
Sly snakes play words in Eden gardens:
Your actions, purity of thoughts,
Did you give help or look for pardons?
That only matters in this World!
Good parents search for no excuses:
Through thorns and nights they carry a torch:
Give birth, bring up, and heal child’s bruises!
… They’re carrying life!
Sometimes, disgusting middlemen
will poison you with words of evil:
Attempt to mock your parents’ dreams.
Make them look shameful and trivial!
Trying to steal what’s well deserved
From parents’ sacrificial bondage,
To use your body and your skills
For selfish personal advantage.
… and can succeed!
That’s why all parents and their fears
Are glorified, blessed in all counts,
Forgiven for their children's tears,
Choosing to praise them or denounce.
Plant tree! Raise child! Respect your mother!
Honor thy father! Don’t be a cynic:
They’ve done. Your turn, then next, then others…
Cause if not that -- life has no meaning!
Aaa-men!
